HANOVER ON – Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Ltd. has announced a new lease agreement with Hanover, Bentinck and Brant Agricultural Society (HBBAS) that will result in an expansion of the existing site with new food and beverage amenities and an expanded gaming floor.
Playtime Casino Hanover is a horse track in Hanover, Ontario, Canada that features harness racing and is open Mon-Thu 9am-4am, Fri-Sun 24 hours. The horse track racino's gaming space features 130 gaming machines. The property has one restaurant.
The new agreement signals a long-term arrangement with the HBBAS that will see Gateway occupy space previously known as the Banquet Hall. Gateway will be making a significant investment in the new facility that will create new gaming and dining experiences for customers in Hanover and the surrounding area.

Now that the proposed expansion and new lease arrangement with the HBBAS has been approved by OLG, Gateway is hoping to start construction in the Spring/Summer of this year with completion in the first half of 2019. While construction is underway the existing facility will continue to operate business as usual.
Gateway intends to unveil detailed plans of the new site, including the signature Gateway brands it will establish in Hanover in the near future. The expansion will also mean new employment opportunities for the community.
